Numerical superiority does not equal victory… Daegu and Jeonnam win despite being sent off

On the 17th, in the professional soccer K-League, there were a series of games in which teams that had a numerical advantage ended up losing due to the opponent being sent off.

Suwon Samsung lost 0-1 in the home game against Daegu FC in the 30th round of Hana One Q K-League 1 2023 held at Suwon World Cup Stadium on this day and remained in 12th place in the league.

Suwon missed the opportunity to win. In the 12th minute of the second half when the game was tied 0-0, Daegu central midfielder Beltola was sent off for swinging his elbow at Suwon Werikpopo.

Suwon, which had a numerical advantage, tried to score, but Daegu’s goal did not open. The attack on Suwon was dull. There was no luck either. In the 36th minute of the second half, Mulic’s powerful free kick landed in the arms of goalkeeper Choi Young-eun.

Despite being outnumbered, Daegu produced threatening attacks more often than Suwon. Daegu, which faced Suwon without moving its line back, scored the winning goal in the 6th minute of added time in the second half. Baselus dribbled past Gyu-seok Lee, who was suffering from leg cramps, and hit the net with a right-footed shot.

Suwon lost the opportunity to tie the score at the end of the game. National team member Lee Ki-je sent an accurate cross toward the goal in extra time in the second half, but shots from Go Myeong-seok and Mulic missed the goal.안전놀이터

Even in the second division, there was a game where a team with a numerical inferiority won.

Jeonnam Dragons overcame numerical inferiority and won 3-2 in the away game against Gyeongnam FC in the 31st round of Hana One Q K League 2 2023 held at Changwon Soccer Center on this day.

Jeonnam was outnumbered in the 3rd minute of the second half when the score was 1-1. Asnawi, who had received a warning for kicking the Gyeongnam goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the first half, received a second warning while blocking Gyeongnam Park Min-seo and was sent off.

Although it was at a disadvantage, Jeonnam scored two more goals after Asnawi left. Jeonnam took the lead in the 22nd minute of the second half with Yu Ji-ha’s goal from a free kick attack. In the 5th minute of added time in the second half, Lee Yong-jae shook off Gyeongnam Lee Kang-hee, dribbled alone, and scored a goal to go up 3-1.

Jeonnam allowed a chasing goal to Gyeongnam Mo Jae-hyeon in the 7th minute of added time in the second half, but maintained the victory without conceding any additional goals.
