‘Representative glass body’ to be traded? Interested in CIN Glasnau

Tyler Glasnow, 30, a year away from free agency, is rumored to leave the Tampa Bay Rays in another trade.

MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, reported on Aug. 28 that the Cincinnati Reds have expressed interest in trading Glassnow.

According to the report, Cincinnati tried to acquire Sonny Gray (34) in free agency, but Gray agreed to a contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on the 28th.

After missing out on Gray, Cincinnati expressed interest in acquiring Glasnow on the trade market. However, it’s unclear if a deal will happen. This is due to Tampa Bay’s situation.

The Rays clearly have plans to trade Glassnow, but they’re looking for immediate power in exchange for prospects. A pitcher to throw from the starting mound.
Glasnow is eligible for free agency after the 2024 season. His 2024 salary is worth $25 million. That’s more than four times his $5.35 million this season.

Tampa Bay had been eyeing a trade since signing Glassnow to a two-year, $30.35 million deal, so a trade was considered likely.

Before Cincinnati, the Atlanta Braves were among the teams that tried to acquire Glasnow. He’s a popular choice because of his ability to perform well when healthy. 보스토토 도메인

Last season, Glasnow pitched 120 innings in 21 games, going 10-7 with a 3.53 ERA. He also struck out a whopping 162 batters.
The problem is health. He hasn’t pitched more than 30 games since making the switch to starting pitcher. His best was 21 starts last season.
